Dear WSU community,

As the end of the fall semester approaches, the Presidential Search Advisory Committee (PSAC) continues to make strides in identifying the next leader of Washington State University.

Following the approval of the presidential leadership profile in mid-September, members of the PSAC and the executive search firm of Isaacson, Miller reached out to over 250 highly qualified individuals to explore their interest in the position. The response was overwhelmingly positive.

The PSAC reviewed materials and selected a number of highly qualified and compelling candidates to interview. Following the completion of these interviews, the PSAC will recommend a small number of candidates to the Board of Regents for further consideration. The identities of the presidential candidates will remain confidential allowing highly qualified candidates, including sitting presidents, provosts and senior leaders, to apply without risking their current positions.

We hope to announce the name of WSU’s 12th president in early 2025.

Thank you, again, for your continued engagement and support throughout this search process. We look forward with excitement and anticipation of a great future for Washington State University.

Sincerely,

Lisa Keohokalole Schauer
